Members of the ASUA Senate work towarde individual campaign goals, as well as working together to represent the student body. Each member is allocated a special projects fund. Members of the senate sit on committees across campus, including Faculty Senate, Academic Integrity Committee and Parking and Transportation.

Lauren Abbott
  • Develop collaborative ASUA Senate
  • Enhance civic engagement
  • Improve Student Recreation Center availability


Jared Cohen
  • Implement more Zona Zoo road trips
  • Create citywide KAMP Student Radio
  • Bring big-name concerts


Amanda Collins
  • Promote all UA sports
  • Decrease bike theft on campus
  • Expand commuting options for off-campus students


Mark Copulos
  • Improve course registration
  • Lower textbook prices
  • Protect bikes on campus


Dustin Cox
  • Increase number of elected ASUA
    representatives
  • Establish meaningful diversity and social justice programs
  • Refocus professors to put students first


Joshua Demos
  • Create better deals on textbook buybacks
  • Raise red-tag requirements from five students to 10
  • Implement more phone lines for SafeRide and expand blue-light system

  • Spend money effectively in ASUA

  • Increase effi ciency of technology and technological space inside and outside of the classroom
  • Establish a fi rm waiting-list system for courses
  • Make a more desirable meal plan, for both on and off campus students


Exekiel Amare Gebrekidane
  • Help create ASUA scholarship endowment
  • Restructure ASUA
  • Work with administration to increase parking lot spots for students


Brent Hanson
  • Increase campus safety
  • Improve roommate matching in residence halls
  • Open merit scholarships to study abroad


Seema Patel
  • Enable students to download free and legal music using a music-share program
  • Create a minority student council
  • Empower students by giving resources to create long-term change on campus.


James Pennington-McQueen
  • Reform the Tucson City Council red-tag policy
  • Redirect Davis-Monthan Air Force Base jet flights over campus
  • Establish an ASUA inter-organizational council


Mayra Santiago
  • Improve management of tuition and student fees
  • Give students the best college experience
  • Improve class availability and increase the number of passionate professors


Abbas Tull
  • Enhance campus life
  • Provide more scholarships for eligible UA students
  • Increase diversity awareness on campus
